We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide administrative and logistical support to the Training and Development team. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of external training and development activities across the charity and will be the contact for all training and consultancy enquiries. We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, experience of marketing and an excellent attention to detail, who will enjoy working with colleagues across the organisation and liaising with external stakeholders and partners.

Chair of Ambitious College Governing Body and Trustee

We’re looking for a trustee to help take Ambitious about Autism through the next crucial phase of development and to Chair the new Ambitious College Governing Body.

Strong experience at leadership level, and of ensuring excellent governance, will be essential for this appointment. A strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building, communication and interpersonal skills, you are likely to be someone who has already achieved real standing in your field and be able to offer established networks. You will also have an important ambassadorial role to play. To do this, an appreciation of the issues that relate to our work would be useful. We are specifically seeking an individual with experience in further education, supported employment or adult services for people with learning disabilities.  We also welcome applicants with lived experience of autism.

School Governors

TreeHouse School is an outstanding non-maintained special school for children and young people with autism aged 4 to 19 years based in the Pears National Centre for Autism Education in North London.

We are now looking for Governors to help take TreeHouse School through its next crucial phase of development. Specifically, we are recruiting a Community Governor, a Sponsor Governor and a Local Authority Governor. Governors play a crucial role in helping to shape the strategic direction of the school, to evaluate the school’s performance, support and challenge the senior team and act as visible ambassadors for the school.

Learning and Behaviour Specialist

Ambitious College will open in September 2014 to offer young adults with autism the specialist education and support they need to transition successfully to an active life as part of their community.

As a Learning and Behaviour Specialist you will support learners to achieve outstanding outcomes. You will work alongside Ambitious College’s multi-disciplinary team and directly support the implementation of each learner’s individualised study programme. You will support learners to meet their targets whilst collating evidence of their learning. You will work within the Ambitious College campus as well as in the community and at other external college venues as required.

Founded 16 years ago, our vision is simple; to make the ordinary possible for children and young people with autism. Our new three-year strategy will see us developing more services, focusing on raising awareness and understanding of autism, and continuing successfully to influence policy. We’re an ambitious and innovative organisation at a particularly exciting stage of growth and diversification.

Our current Chair will step down at the end of this year after two very successful terms, leading a strong and highly effective Board and working with a committed, high-performing executive team. We’re now looking for an exceptional individual to lead our Board of Trustees and help take us through the next crucial phase of development.
