Do you have a passion for enabling young people with autism to reach their full potential? Ambitious about Autism is looking for Field Tutors to join our Ambitious Support team based at Barnet and Southgate College, Colindale, North London.

Ambitious Support is a community-based service that provides integrated and intensive support to young adults with autism aged 16-25. Using evidence-based practice, the service supports its service users in accessing further education, employment and leisure opportunities.

You will need:

  • Knowledge of and an interest in autism
  • Experience of working with young adults with autism/SEN (e.g. support work, tutoring or volunteering)
  • A willingness to undertake direct care tasks and participate in community-based sessions
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviour
  • Physical and emotional resilience
  • Commitment and flexibility to provide high-quality, person-centred support
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm and focused
