Pupil portraits to be displayed at London gallery

TreeHouse School pupils took part in the hellohead project, a portrait-swap with over 60 illustrators and designers participating in order to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.

The artwork produced by our pupils is currently being displayed on the hellohead website alongside professional artists.

Monika Jakubecka, Qualified Teacher at the school, said: “The hellohead exhibition looks truly exceptional and the quality of work presented by our pupils reveals great artistic skills and real talent. The portraits presented are individual interpretations and reflect recognizable and distinctive styles of each of our pupils. Pupils had lots of fun exchanging emails and photographs with their peers. They completed their work during extra-curricular group activities in Lunch Art Club which is run on regular basis in our new Creative Suite. We feel very lucky to support such fantastic kids and young people and we are very proud of their achievements.”

There will be a gallery display of all of the artwork at the XOYO Gallery in London (post code EC2A 4AP) on the 23 and 24 August 2012.
