Artwork produced by pupils from TreeHouse School is being exhibited at The Emporium Tea Rooms and Gift Shop in Muswell Hill.
Entitled ‘The Joy of Colour’, the paintings were painted by pupils during their weekly art sessions. The exhibition comprises two parts: still life pictures – created while looking at arrangements of three-dimensional objects, and other pictures – created while looking at photographs and reproductions in art books.
The pictures convey different artistic approaches – from meticulous engagement with the object/photo being depicted, to putting emphasis on the pictorial space as a field for free experimentation with shapes and colours.
The exhibition is showing at The Emporium Tea Rooms and Gift Shop, 4-5 Cheapside, Fortis Green, London, N2 9HP.
