Ambitious about Autism and TreeHouse School welcomed Lord Storey who visited on 6 March 2013. Lord Storey toured the school and learned about some of the vocational opportunities open to pupils.
In our new video, Virginia Bovell, founding parent of TreeHouse School and Vice President of Ambitious about Autism, talks about how she became involved with the other parents who helped found the school in 1997.

Treehouse School is hosting the East Finchley Art Group Winter Craft Fair for the first time on Sunday the 18 November.

Artwork produced by pupils from TreeHouse School is being exhibited at The Emporium Tea Rooms and Gift Shop in Muswell Hill.
Ofsted will be inspecting TreeHouse School on 24-25 October 2012. They would like to know what carers/parents of pupils think about the school.

Last week Ambitious about Autism’s policy team attended the Conservative Party Conference . The team met with a number of MPs to talk about the draft Children and Families Bill as well as update them on our Finished at School campaign.
Ambitious about Autism and TreeHouse School were delighted to welcome Lord Touhig who visited this week. Lord Touhig had a tour of the school and learned about some of the vocational opportunities open to TreeHouse School pupils.

Ambitious about Autism has supported the development of the Autism Education Trust training programme which is currently being rolled out to schools across England. A key part of the programme is the development of a Competency Framework for professionals working with children and young people with autism aged 5 – 16 years old.

A few raindrops couldn’t stop the fun at the TreeHouse Summer Fair 2012! It was fantastic so many TreeHouse Parents and their families turned out to help and came along to enjoy all the fun of the fair.

A new greenhouse polytunnel has been opened in TreeHouse School’s garden by long-term supporter Tim Barber. Tim Barber made a donation to help buy the polytunnel which was also funded by a grant by Capital Growth.

TreeHouse School, Ambitious about Autism’s specialist education service, celebrated its 15th birthday today. The special occasion was marked with a celebration for parents and staff and a birthday party for pupils, including face painting and wellington boot throwing.

TreeHouse School pupils took part in the hellohead project, a portrait-swap with over 60 illustrators and designers participating in order to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.
