A huge thank you to all our Virgin London Marathon runners!

On Sunday 21 April, 19 runners completed the Virgin London Marathon 2013 to raise almost £30,000 for Ambitious about Autism. Some were marathon first-timers, others achieved personal bests; all of them are passionate about enabling children young people with autism to learn, thrive and achieve their potential.

Volunteer with Team Ambitious at the London Marathon

The London Marathon is one of the most prestigious of all road runs with most of the thirty five thousand runners raising millions of pounds for charity. On 21 April seventeen runners will participate in the Virgin London Marathon in aid of Ambitious about Autism, having collectively raised nearly £15,000 so far to transform the lives of children and young people with autism.

Our report Our Lives in Your Hands tells the stories of nine families affected by autism. The report sets out the families stories and highlights how the reforms proposed in the Children and Families Bill will impact them. We need your help to get MPs to push for the strongest possible rights to support for young disabled people leaving school. Currently just 1 in 4 young people with autism go on to any education beyond school. Just 15% of adults with autism are in full-time paid work.

Enthusiastic cyclists from business telecom provider TalkTalk Business have raised £13,000 for Ambitious about Autism.
