Part Time - Two and half days a week (hours to be discussed on interview)
We have a very exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join us and work in one of London’s leading schools for children and young people with autism.
The successful candidate will have responsibility Universal, Targeted and Specialist level of support to our pupils based their EHCP and their individual needs. The post holder will also contribute to the planning, adaptation, monitoring and reporting of pupils' personalised plans enabling them to learn. We are looking for someone that shares our vision for young people with autism and is not afraid to take on a challenge. Working alongside the learners, their families and other professionals, you will be an enthusiastic and autonomous practitioner ready to share your previous experience working with young people with autism. Your professional expertise will be highly valued!
This is a part time position and you will be joining a team of two Speech and Language Therapists and an Occupational Therapist.
The successful candidate will have/need:
• Professional Qualified Occupational Therapy qualification to degree or diploma level
• HCPC Registration
• Evidence of post registration training with defined clinical area of expertise (ASD)
• Knowledge of assessment, planning and evaluating treatment
• Demonstrable experience in paediatrics
• Demonstrable commitment to Evidence Based Practice (EBP)
• Specialist knowledge and experience of a range of treatment techniques, OT models and approaches in adults with ASD and/or complex needs
• Knowledge and experience of the impact of disability on their occupational performance
• Working Knowledge of Further Education Curriculum
Judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2017, TreeHouse School offers each pupil a personalised curriculum delivered by a multi-professional team including Behaviour Analysts, Class Teachers, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Tutors and Vocational Specialists.
