We are recruiting for our new Health Panel!
Our new Health Panel will be a group of autistic 16-25 year olds who will meet at least four times a year to discuss and plan campaigns, events and consultations. The Health Panel will be contributing to our work with Whittington Health to improve the healthcare experiences of autistic young people.
To ensure that the project meets the needs of autistic young people who may use Whittington Health services the project needs the input of autistic young people in the areas that Whittington Health serve.
You do not need any experience to apply for this role. However to be a member of the Health Panel you must be:
- aged 16-25 years old
- living in one of five North Central London Boroughs; Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Camden
- diagnosed with autism
- able to attend meetings in London and events across the country (We will pay reasonable travel expenses, provide lunch and practical support so that you can take part and contribute).
We would also like to note that we want our Health Panel to represent the range and diversity of the whole autism spectrum. This means that we are particularly keen to hear from autistic people who use assistive communication methods or those who also have a learning disability or have never been involved with Ambitious about Autism before.
