Manchester - London
Join us for our annual Rapha Manchester to London bike ride in September 2019. Starting just before the crack of dawn, you will set off from the Manchester Velodrome on a one-day 220 mile journey to the London Velodrome. But this event is very much about the journey rather than the destination.
Anyone with any experience of autism knows how many challenges there are to face. There are highs and lows, but with the right support and knowledge it can be a fulfilling and inspiring experience – which is exactly what you’ll find on this amazing bike ride. We will be there to support you from the moment you sign up, giving fundraising and training advice and inviting you to information evenings, to the minute you set off the morning of the event. There’s no doubt that this is one of the toughest charity rides out there, but the sense of achievement you will feel at the end is like nothing else.
You will be treated to an awesome array of seriously mouth-watering refreshments at the four feed stations on your journey. The food is fresh and nutritious to see you through to the next stage, and ultimately to the capital itself. Mechanics are on hand so you’ll never be stranded with a flat tyre for long. Previous cyclists often talk about how well the day is organized:
"Food was incredible. Great variety of things throughout the day. If only there were more sausage rolls! Volunteers were such a help and really spurred me onwards with their support." - 2017 Manchester to London cyclist.
