The 2.6 Challenge
Sunday 26 April 2020

The 2.6 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event that would have raised £67m for UK charities.

We’re asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise to support Ambitious about Autism.

This is a challenge for absolutely everyone and a great opportunity to get the whole family involved. You can take on The 2.6 Challenge however you like. You could walk, run, hop 2.6 miles/km’s, juggle for 2.6 minutes, hold an online workout with 26 friends, host a quiz with 26 questions, run up and down the stairs 26 times. The possibilities are endless. The more creative you can be the better.

If you’re a keen cyclist, we’ve teamed up with Rapha who are encouraging cyclists to Ride 26 times up their local hill. If you fancy joining checkout our Rapha + AaA #26ClimbsChallenge event on Strava.

Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April, but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.

Take on The 2.6 Challenge

Getting involved couldn’t be simpler:

  1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – if you need help there are lots on the UK Virgin Money Giving website
  2. Set up a fundraising page
  3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge
  4. Complete your challenge
  5. You can also share a photo or video of your challenge on social media to @AmbitiousAutism with #TwoPointSixChallenge, but that's optional.
