Meet Phil, our marathon coach

I will be providing Team Ambitious with coaching support, throughout 2024 and 2025, in the lead up to your marathon challenge. A massive welcome to the team. Those who have run before will already understand the magic of completing a marathon, and those who haven’t run it before are in for an incredible journey. 

I have been involved with the London Marathon for over ten years and have supported thousands of runners. I specialise in injury prevention and biomechanics, and put a large importance into strength, conditioning, and nutrition, which are often overlooked.  

My goal over these months is to support you with content that will get you to the start line injury-free, and fully prepared for your next challenge. 

Getting the basics right is crucial and, together with my team of experts, we will show you everything you need to know including: 

  • injury prevention protocols 
  • basic nutrition and how to build into performance  
  • training plans 
  • strength and conditioning/mobility/flexibility. 

 

We will highlight areas that a lot of runners get wrong and will be on hand to answer all your questions. It doesn't matter what your current level of fitness is, your journey is relative to you and your goals, and we will help you.
