Ambitious about Autism believes that every child with autism has the right to a good quality education, just the same as any other child. This means making sure the right educational placement is available at the right time for every child and young person with autism and making sure all teachers and school staff have the training and resources to meet autistic children’s needs.

One of the biggest factors in determining how well a child with autism succeeds and makes progress at school is how well their autism is understood by their teachers and so every teacher and class
What is happening now? Due to a better understanding of autism and improvements in its diagnosis the numbers of children and young people with autism has increased with around a one hundred thousand
For this to happen we believe that: Children’s needs should be assessed and reviewed in a timely way so that everyone in their lives understands what kind of support they need to thrive.
