Hi from Sarah

Fri 13 Mar 2009 10:06am

Hi my name is Sarah.

My older brother has Asperger's Syndrome and growing up with him inspired me to work with people with autism. I now work for the National Autistic Society as a support worker. I also study politics at LSE and have a dream of being 'big' in politics some day.

I'm 21 and at a stage where I need to make decisions about what I want to do with my life. My ultimate dream is to have a job where I can big changes in this country for people with ASD and their families/carers...just not worked out exactly how to do that yet!!!

    Hello Sarah,

I've always wanted to hear from someone who had a sibling with autism.  I'm interested because I have a daughter and wonder how she will be with her brother as she grows.  I don't want to put pressure on her to take care of him, but I do want her to be there for him.  Welcome to the boards.
