Can you help me find friends?

Sat 17 Jun 2017 6:48pm

Hi, you guys probably won't even bother to read this.... but it's practically impossible for me to make new friends outside of the internet world okay? IMPOSSIBLE!!! I am just too shy/cautious, I am too stranger aware... and people just don't see me as a friendly person. They see me as something to ignore...

Hello?

Sun 7 May 2017 11:01am

Hey, i am kinda new here, I joined a while ago but haven't had the time to really use the site... I don't know if this is the right place for it but I just want to chat with people... about my autism in general and other things, I have so many problems.... If this isn't right place, please direct me to the correct one and I will happily go there. I am usually too shy or scared to talk to people in the real world.

Categories of Autism

Thu 27 Apr 2017 4:19pm

Now I'm sure this an issue that has been raised before as it does related to identity and what people like to be referred to as I.E. A person with autism or an autistic person etc... Regardless of the DSM V dropping Asperger's and other related syndrome's from the spectrum what are people opinions on autism categories? With the knowledge that there are very few perfectly specific boxes to fit people in what categories or terminology do people like?

Nanny or After-school Care for son with HF-Autism

Wed 19 Apr 2017 12:16pm

Does anyone know of any agencies who specialise in nannies with experience of kids with Autism, please? Our nanny of 4 years has just told us she'll be leaving in September. Our 4 year-old daughter and 7 year-old son (who has HF-Autism and Anxiety) aren't happy! We're looking for someone who can help us with after-school care. We live in Hackney, North London. Please do kindly pass on any possible leads.

Thank you very much!

Richard and Jaco: Life with Autism - BBC documentary

Tue 11 Apr 2017 8:14pm

I loved this BBC documentary .

An intimate documentary in which actor Richard Mylan reflects on his experience of raising his son Jaco, who is on the autistic spectrum.
