No body cares

Fri 23 Jan 2015 10:33am

I'm 16 and got diagnosed with asperges about a year ago. Before that I was labeled as having behavioural issues. When my school (finally after nearly 5 years of my mum asking for help off them) brought someone in to finally diagnose me nothing changed. I didn't hear off the place for months!

Lately I haven't been coping well. I'm in college but even the teachers there don't care. One of them even pointed out to ye whole class that "she doesn't get sarcasm do don't say anything to her" what sort of teacher does that?

Unusual Toilet Habit ??

Mon 12 Jan 2015 7:58pm

Hi there, my son has just turned 4 and I am working really hard to get him toilet trained before he starts school in August, at first I was letting him go at his own pace but I have just been informed if the classroom assistant isn't full time i.e not available then I would have to go and change him if he has an accident which could be difficult considering I work over the other side of the city.

I'm depressed

Fri 26 Dec 2014 11:12pm

im in the last month of maternity leave, 10mth old boy and 5year old is ASD.

Meant to go back to retail shop, but my employer expects two close shifts till 9 pm and Saturday- what do you do for childcare!?

Australian living in Canada with no real family support, husband in retail and works long hours. We need to pay the bills, but I feel like I never see him.

Can't stop crying today.

It all feels hopeless...perhaps it's the time of the year too....

The dreaded toilet training

Fri 5 Dec 2014 8:52am

My son is 5 in feb
He is verbal (although somewhat delayed)
Seems pretty bright.
All the professionals at school seem to think he is ready for toilet training and me and my wife agree.
He goes to a special school 3 days a week and they are fully equipped to deal with toilet training.
He goes to a main stream school 2 days a week and whilst they are not so well equiped he has a 1 to 1 with him all the time and she is fully on board with supporting our toilet training at school.

Hi Guys

So today I recieved a health and disability, fit for work questionaire.  For varying reason it highly upset me, but I won't go into that.  I just wanted to get peoples opinions on the Tgline attached to every page.

The tagline was:

Continuing vaccinations after diagnosis

Wed 26 Nov 2014 12:57pm

I'll be honest. I dont know what to believe about the vaccine and autism links. I could be reading and researching for weeks and just never be closer to the truth or even an informed opinion.
