Hello everyone and good luck with the new forum

Wed 25 Mar 2009 1:00pm

Hi

I'm staying anonymous as possible as I have recently had a very difficult time with my son's school.  Instead of listening, referring to professinal documents and asking questions they concluded that I was lying about his difficulties.

I wonder how many other parents find their children's behaviour in school is reasonably good with their child 'keeping it together' most of the time, but then letting it all out at home?

hello from star

Wed 25 Mar 2009 8:52am
hi there everyone I'm Star. I have 2 sons, one is nearly 9 with asd and is in mainstream and the other is 3 years old and does not have asd but keeps me busy. I'm a single mum and found it quite hard after having my 2nd son as I was so used to the ways of my asd son I then had this child that wanted to play and could talk and I realised what my other son and I had missed out on. Anyway enough of that ! Looking forward to chatting and meeting new people and hopefully helping and supporting one another on here...speak soon
