I'm Kev, hi.

I'm a 39 year old husband and dad to 3 of whom one (my nine year old daughter) is classically/severely/kanners/whatever autistic. I run a fairly popular blog at http://leftbrainrightbrain.co.uk which concentrates mostly on autism science, news and a fair bit of opinion.

Hi from Tom and family

Mon 9 Mar 2009 7:02pm

Hi, I'm 53 with asperger syndrome. I have six children, three boys three girls; two of my boys almost certainly have AS, they are also dispraxic as am I. I am a full time single parent and a part time musician, and we live on a windy hillside in West Wales.

I think this forum will be very helpful to folks like us, and I congratulate the founders for their efforts.

I am on Facebook and would love to hear from both other aspergers and parents of asperger kids.

Hi from Nianya

Mon 9 Mar 2009 5:53pm

Look forward to meeting you all. I'm taking my autistic 13yo on a school trip to Cape Canaveral Weds. 60+ middle schoolers and their chaperones; she doesn't do well with crowds, but is excited about possibly getting to see the Space Shuttle launch.

I will be twittering about our experience and posting photos on my site; probably won't have time to get into this site until next week.

E-mail me if you have any questions. Also have a 6yo autistic son on GFCF diet.

Hello from Canada

Mon 9 Mar 2009 1:18pm

Hello everyone,

My name is Marco and I'm a father of two wonderful kids, one of which is autistic.  My son is 11 years old and was diagnosed officially at 7 years old.  We've known that something was wrong since he was 2 years old, and we were put on track to the possibility of autism when he was about 4 years old.
