Ambitious about Autism to develop new autism awareness resource for mainstream vocational tutors

Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College is working in partnership with Ambitious about Autism in to develop a staff training resource to improve autism awareness amongst mainstream vocational tutors in colleges.

Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College is working in partnership with Ambitious about Autism in to develop a staff training resource to improve autism awareness amongst mainstream vocational tutors in colleges. This work is one of 41 projects out of a total of 243 applications that was awarded a grant by the Skills Funding Agency’s Equality and Diversity Innovation Fund, managed by NIACE.

Ambitious about Autism will work with staff and learners at the college to develop the staff training resource which will focus particularly on the transition to mainstream; tutorial settings and work experience placements. It will use the person-centred, one-page profile tool to capture each learner’s aspirations, desired outcomes and strategies for support.
