Christmas comes to TreeHouse School

Today we will be hosting a Christmas Fair at TreeHouse School, with a festive market and a Santa's Grotto.

Christmas has well and truly arrived at TreeHouse School! Today we are hosting a Christmas Fair with a festive market and a Santa's Grotto.

Rachel, the Class Teacher explains what one of our classes have been upto in preparation for the Fair...

Class U3 have been making Christmas cards and Christmas tree decorations as part of their Enterprise projects. This project was an enjoyable activity for the pupils to get involved in in the lead up  to Christmas. It is also an activity which all the pupils in U3 have been able to get involved in.

The project also incorporates many of the pupil's Occupational Therapy targets as it involves using the pupil’s fine motor skills. They have also made great progress working on their group skills targets, often sitting alongside their peers for a whole teaching sessions, while taking part in the project.

The pupils have greatly enjoyed the work so far and have been really focused while making their cards and decorations. They have been able to select what type of decorations to use ranging from using glitter, sequins to decorated tape before putting their design together.
