Ambitious College is looking to recruit around 5 Learning and Behaviour Specialists as we continue to expand.
There has never been a better time to join Ambitious College. Our College is expanding and we are becoming a first-choice further education and training provider for young people with complex autism aged 16-25 and their families across London and beyond. As a result, we are looking to expand our workforce by December 2017.
We are looking to appoint outstanding Learning and Behaviour Specialists who are keen to move to the next stage of their career. Learning and Behaviour Specialists are a vital part of our workforce. They work face to face with our learners everyday, inspiring and teaching to help them reach their full potential.
You will join a dynamic team with a singular vision: to make the ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism. We pride ourselves on engaging and preparing learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make a successful transition to adulthood and to live, work and contribute as part of their community. You will be a part of a strong and dedicated team who are committed to delivering our specialist curriculum to improve life chances for young people.
A general day to day may include some of the following:
encouraging young adults to learn basic life skills, hygiene, cooking, self-presentation
to provide excellent personal care support in line with organisational policy and approved support plans and guidelines
dealing with challenging behaviour effectively and swiftly
to be responsible for safeguarding learners and reporting any concerns
to ensure the accurate completion of related administrative tasks
maintaining boundaries and rules
working closely with the trans-disciplinary team.

Based at our West Thames College campus in Isleworth, you will work alongside a team of professionals to support our learners to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (we are willing to consider applicants with part time availability).
You will be required to work 42 weeks per year, including two weeks full training in July/August (please note the salary will not be pro rata).
