New school in Kingston
Our new autism-specific school will teach up to 90 pupils aged 4-19 in Chessington, Kingston.
Kingston Council selected Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust to open its new provision following a rigorous and competitive application process. They were impressed with our successful track record in delivering high quality and innovative specialist education for autistic young people through TreeHouse School, Ambitious College and The Rise School.
The new school will further embed our Ambitious Approach to education, placing a focus on the wellbeing and quality of life of each pupil, and preparing them to make a successful transition into adulthood.
We will be inviting you to share your views on our proposed new school development including the new school building, curriculum plans, wrap-around enrichment activities and ultimately, our vision to establish an autism resource for the community. All feedback gathered during the consultation process will form part of a report which will be passed on to and reviewed by both the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust and the Department for Education.
Your views will contribute to developing a high-quality school, fit for purpose to help children and young people with autism, their families and the community learn, thrive and achieve. Sign up for updates via the link below.
The new school will work with parents, carers, families, local special and mainstream schools, and community groups to maximise opportunities available to pupils. Details of our partnership work are currently in development and we look forward to sharing further information soon.
If you would like to be kept updated on the new school development, including when the consultation opens, please get in touch.
