Transition to employment toolkit
Our practical toolkit includes information on communicating with your colleagues, how to ask for workplace adjustments, and a one-page profile to give to your employer to help them understand your desired ways of working.
Hear from other autistic interns
It's important to hear from those in a similar position to you. Read a collection of blogs written by other autistic young people about their thoughts before, during, and after their placement through the Employ Autism programme.
Connect with others
The Ambitious Youth Network is a great way to meet other autistic young people. Whether you want to switch off after a busy day in your new role or find out about other opportunities open to you – it’s a wonderful community to be part of.
Participate in research
The programme is being independently evaluated to ensure that we can understand the impact we’re having. As an intern taking part in Employ Autism, you are invited to participate in the research and share your experiences through a series of short, online surveys.
Get involved
We love to hear from our interns and the experiences they’ve had during their Employ Autism internships. This could be through writing a case study, getting involved in filming or photography or even speaking at an event. Get in touch and we can share more information on how you could be involved.
