Location: Capgemini - Grange Central, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4ER
Internship duration: eight weeks
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, between the hours of 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday
Hybrid working: three days work from home, two days in the office
Salary: £24,000 per year (pro rata)

About the role
We are looking for Data Engineers who have an interest in learning across the full range of development lifecycle. This includes requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding/development, testing, implementation and live support.
You will have the opportunity to work within new systems development projects or enhancements and fixes to existing applications.
- Carrying out development in accordance with the agreed requirements
- Testing of products in accordance with the test strategy to ensure that they are fit for purpose
- Assisting the team in giving realistic timescales for projects
- Completion of work allocated within agreed time, providing progress reports on a regular basis
- Management and control of problems and change within area of responsibility
- Problem analysis, investigation and resolution
- Completing projects inline with company, client and industry standards.
Your skills and experience
There are no formal skills or qualifications needed for this job. However, applicants should have strong interest in Data and desire to become a Data Engineer. Experience working with programming languages such as Java, Python and R would be advantageous.

The recruitment process:
- Your CV will be sent to the hiring team at Capgemini.
- If you are chosen to progress, you will be invited to an interview. This usually lasts 30 minutes and you will be asked some questions about you and your past experiences. Questions for the interview will be provided in advance.
- Final decisions will be made after the interview.
