Salary: £14.80 per hour (London Living Wage)

Most of our roles are hybrid, meaning that colleagues benefit from working in our office and remotely. About the team  

Working closely with the Senior Digital Transformation Manager, the role of Digital Transformation Administrator will provide practical administrative coordination and data support to the Technology team. 

This role offers the opportunity to gain experience working alongside data professionals, business analysts, solution architects and technology specialists. You will support a variety of projects that help improve how the organisation uses technology, data and digital solutions to deliver services more effectively.

This role is designed to provide an introduction to digital transformation, data analytics, systems integration and enterprise architecture within a professional services environment.

 

About the role

You will support the Digital Transformation team by:

  • assisting with the administration and coordination of digital transformation projects
  • maintaining project documentation, process maps and meeting notes
  • supporting data analysts with data preparation, validation and reporting activities
  • helping to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
  • assisting with testing of new systems, applications and digital solutions
  • supporting the creation of dashboards, reports and presentations
  • supporting the team in maintaining information relating to enterprise architecture, applications and data flows
  • participating in team meetings, workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • undertaking other administrative and project support activities as required.

Skills and qualifications required for the role

  • enthusiasm and motivation for technology, data engineering and analytics. This can be demonstrated through academic studies, extra-curricular activities or personal projects
  • a willingness to learn, ask questions and contribute to discussions when you are comfortable to do so
  • an interest in data, technology or digital transformation
  • strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • strong numerical and literacy skills
  • high level of IT competency and understanding of programmes including MS Office, such as email, Word and Excel
  • an awareness of data analytics tools, and competent in Python and SQL, and in interest in developing these skills further
  • professionalism
  • able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.


What you will learn

During the internship, you will learn: 

  • how digital transformation and technology functions operate within an international law firm
  • data analytics, reporting and data quality management, including practical experience using Python and SQL
  • dashboard development, business intelligence tools and data governance principles
  • business analysis, requirements gathering and how technology solutions are designed to meet business needs
  • systems integration, enterprise architecture and how business applications and technology platforms work together
  • microsoft technology platforms and modern data and collaboration tools.

The recruitment process

  1. Your CV will be sent to the hiring team at Stephenson Harwood.
  2. If you are chosen to progress, you will be invited to an interview. Before the interview, you will be given a short task to complete, which you will discuss during the interview. Half of the interview will be to discuss your answer to the task and the other half will be asking you questions based on the role and your reasons for applying. 
  3. Final decisions will be made after the interview.

Please note applications from candidates who have not previously completed an Employ Autism internship will be prioritised during the shortlisting process.

As this role is working within the legal industry, the successful applicant will be required to undertake pre-employment checks. As a minimum, these checks include previous employment verification, educational verification, and a criminal background check. The team will be available to assist you with completing these checks.
