Service Desk Analyst Intern

Recruitment timeline 

Location: Capgemini – Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester, M41 7HA  
Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week in Manchester office
Team: Cloud Infrastructure Services 
Internship duration: 6 months
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Salary: £13.45 p/hour

About the role   

You will be the first point of contact for our customers and will diagnose and resolve first level technical and software issues.

Your day to day tasks will consist of:

  • providing 1st line support for the service desk  
  • answering calls to the Service Desk  
  • assigning calls to relevant support teams  
  • actioning back-office requests as and when required  
  • advising clients and support teams of known problems and workarounds  
  • ensuring users are updated with the progress of their call/change.  

 

Skills required for the role 

  • good PC skills – including a basic knowledge of MS Office and general PC knowledge  
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • good customer service skills
  • good IT knowledge  
  • good analytical skills.

Eligibility criteria

  • you are aged 18-25 at the start of the internship
  • you are a UK resident/have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.

Recruitment process  

  • Complete the registration form. This will be listed on the opportunity page.  
  • Complete the Capgemini application form and upload your CV. Details on how to do this will be sent to you by the Employ Autism team.
  • Applications will be shared with the line manager to review and shortlist. 
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview. You will be provided with an interview pack which includes information about who will be interviewing you, the interview questions and details on the interview task you will need to complete. 
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete Baseline Security Clearance as part of the onboarding. This includes and identify check, right to work check, employment history check, criminal record check and proof of where you have lived over the past 3 years. The Employ Autism team will be available to assist you with completing these checks. Support during the application process

The Employ Autism team can provide additional application support for autistic young people aged 18-25 years old. If would like to discuss your suitability to the role prior to completing your application, please specify this in your initial email to our team.
