Local authorities and academy trusts
How we developed the frameworks
To develop the Autistic and OK programme, we worked closely with education professionals across the country to explore how schools can be best supported locally deliver the programme. We’ve captured this work with the below frameworks for local authorities and academy trusts. Each framework offers guidance for staff at local authorities and academy trusts who advise and support schools on their inclusion practice.
Local authorities framework
If you work at a local authority and are interested in the Autistic and OK programme, we have created an implementation framework to provide strategies for supporting schools and youth settings to run the programme. Additionally, we hope that local authorities are able to embed the programme into their local offer and inclusion and wellbeing practice.
Multi-academy trust
If you work in a multi-academy trust, we have created an implementation framework to provide strategies for supporting schools to run the Autistic and OK programme. Based on our work with a range of UK academy trusts, the framework documents suggested approaches and key considerations for trust SEND leads who feel their schools could benefit from implementing the programme.
