The World Has Turned Upside Down

Coronavirus and lockdown have turned the lives of children and their families upside down.

Routine, structure and predictability have been thrown out the window and every day brings uncertainty.

This wonderful story highlights the impact of recent changes and uncertainty on autistic children - but the experiences will resonate with all families. You can download The World Has Turned Upside Down story on your own devices.

The World Has Turned Upside Down worksheets

Following the success of The World Has Turned Upside Down, we have produced two worksheets for children and young people to help them work through their own perceptions of lockdown. Working in collaboration with two special education teachers, these worksheets see the return of the story's much-loved characters created by Kes Gray and illustrator Chloe Bachelor.

These worksheets have been created with autistic children and young people in mind but just like the story, these can be enjoyed by anyone.

Both worksheets can be downloaded and edited digitally or printed out.

This project would not have been possible without the generous support of Kes Gray and Chloe Batchelor who we partnered with to create this illustrated story. We're also grateful to Red Brick Road, m/SIX, The & Partnership, Clear Channel UK and Tony Gray from Words by Design for giving their time to support the publication of this story.
