Training and Fitness hub
Welcome to the Team Ambitious Training and Fitness hub.
Here, you will find everything you need to get you started and to the finish line in your next physical or virtual challenge. We are proud to be working with Phil Roberton from Fitness Aspirations who’ll be providing coaching tips, advice, and encouragement for our runners, cyclists, and walkers.
My name is Phil Roberton and I will be providing Team Ambitious with coaching support, throughout 2021, in the lead up to your marathon challenge. A massive welcome to the team. Those who have run before will already understand the magic of completing a marathon, and those who haven’t run it before are in for an incredible journey.
I have been involved with the London Marathon for over ten years and have supported thousands of runners. I specialise in injury prevention and biomechanics, and put a large importance into strength, conditioning, and nutrition, which are often overlooked.
My goal over these months is to support you with content that will get you to the start line injury-free, and fully prepared for your next challenge.
Getting the basics right is crucial and, together with my team of experts, we will show you everything you need to know including:
- injury prevention protocols
- basic nutrition and how to build into performance
- training plans
- strength and conditioning / mobility / flexibility.
We will highlight areas that a lot of runners get wrong and will be on hand to answer all your questions. It doesn't matter what your current level of fitness is, your journey is relative to you and your goals, and we will help you.
If you need anything in the meantime, or just want to say hello, then please get in touch at email@example.com.
If you are on Instagram then get in touch @PhilRoberton.
We have also an Ambitious About Autism group on Strava and have a closed group on Facebook so join up and let’s start building a community of support, motivation, and accountability. This is a fantastic team, let’s have some fun and change the world!
Good luck with your training, and thank you for being part of Team Ambitious.
