Volunteering

Showing your support for our work doesn’t have to be financial, donating your time and your talents are equally valuable.

Volunteering is an incredible way to show your support, from cheering on our marathon runners to tending our school gardens. There are many opportunities available and we can find the right one for you!

Gift your time and skills

We value the skills and expertise of our corporate volunteers, working to help us develop and adapt to be the best organisation we can be for our young people.

Be a part of our Business Ambassador Group

business ambassadors

We are always looking for business leaders with an enthusiasm to create a neurodivergent workforce. If you’re interested in a new way to share your expertise and build your own professional networks you could be the right person to help us develop our Employ Autism programme. If you're passionate about diversity and inclusion, and innovation across the employability landscape, we’d love to hear from you.

Share your professional expertise

Could you or your organisation help us by sharing your professional expertise or by providing strategic support? We would love to collaborate with you and your organisation to help expand our services or to help us to tackle the challenges that many autistic children, young people and their families face. Whatever your expertise - be it recruitment models, engagement and influencing, support with legal advice, or providing specialist advice when we review our school governing bodies – we'd love to hear from you.

If you or your organisation would like to work with us on any of these opportunities, please contact the team at corporatepartnerships@ambitiousaboutautism.org.uk

Be a part of the action

Volunteer with us

Our events would not be possible without the support and help of our volunteers. You could be part of the action at some of our biggest annual fundraising events and help to make our fundraisers’ day extra special.

Why not soak up the electric atmosphere at the world-famous TCS London Marathon and help cheer on our fundraisers as they take on the challenge of a lifetime? Or scream and shout for our first-time runners as they cross the finish line at the leafy Royal Parks Half Marathon. We have a whole range of challenge events where your support can make a difference.

If you’re looking for something more glamorous, you could be one of our fabulous Night of Ambition volunteers. You can help us by selling raffle tickets, maintaining guest welfare and offering service with a smile at one of London’s iconic venues.

Contact events@ambitiousaboutautism.org.uk to find out more.

"If you sign up for one, you’ll want to do them all. Just give volunteering a try!” Bernice Sargent, star volunteer.

Get hands-on at TreeHouse School

TreeHouse School

We love welcoming volunteers on-site to get  hands-on and help to keep our TreeHouse School in top condition for our pupils.
There's always plenty to do; you can help with gardening in our school grounds, sorting out the school library, working on our social enterprise projects, preparing school classrooms ready for the next school term, or helping on our award-winning Saplings horticultural project.

We welcome groups of between 5 and 20 people and can agree a mutually convenient day with the session running between 9.30am and 4.00pm.

This is a perfect opportunity for community and corporate volunteer groups to make a real difference to our pupils’ learning environment and enjoy a fun day out of the office.

If you are interested in any of the volunteering opportunities at TreeHouse School, please contact Julia Lampard to arrange a suitable date: jlampard@ambitiousaboutautism.org.uk.
